The 1x2 Mini Mechanical Optical Switch is a compact fiber optic switching device designed to route one common optical port between two selectable optical paths. Port 1 (P1) serves as the common port, connecting to Port 2 (P2) in State A and Port 3 (P3) in State B. Using a precision mechanical switching mechanism, the switch provides low insertion loss of ≤0.8 dB, low crosstalk, high repeatability, and fast switching time of ≤8 ms. It supports multiple center wavelengths from 650 nm to 1650 nm, 3 V or 5 V drive voltage, and both latching and non-latching control options. With a compact 27 × 12.6 × 8.2 mm package and a lifetime of ≥10⁷ switching cycles, it is well suited for optical network monitoring, fiber optic testing, optical sensing, communication systems, instrumentation, and other applications requiring reliable optical path selection.
