FIRSOL 3-Paddle Fiber Polarization Controller, Ø27 mm Loop Diameter is designed for precise manual adjustment of the state of polarization (SOP) in single mode fiber systems. By winding the fiber around three independently rotatable paddles, controlled bend-induced birefringence is introduced, allowing the paddles to function as adjustable fractional wave plates for converting and optimizing linear, circular, and elliptical polarization states. The compact Ø27 mm loop design is suitable for applications where a smaller controller footprint is preferred while maintaining reliable polarization adjustment and low bend loss. Fiber options include 460-HP, 630-HP, 780-HP, 1060-XP, and SMF-28e, supporting operating wavelength ranges from 450 nm to 1650 nm depending on the selected fiber. An empty version is also available for users who wish to install their own compatible Ø900 µm jacketed single mode fiber. Connector options include None, FC/PC, and FC/APC. With bend loss of ≤0.1 dB and a compact L168 × W24 mm package, the controller is suitable for fiber lasers, fiber optic sensing, optical communication, test and measurement, and other polarization-sensitive fiber optic systems.
