532nm Polarization Maintaining In-Line Manual Variable Optical Attenuator
The 532nm Polarization Maintaining (PM) In-Line Manual Variable Optical Attenuator is designed for precise optical power control in polarization-sensitive systems operating at visible wavelengths. It allows continuous attenuation adjustment while maintaining the state of polarization, making it ideal for laser-based and interferometric applications.
This attenuator is optimized for 532 nm operation with a maximum insertion loss of ≤1.5 dB and an attenuation range of 1.5–40 dB. Built with PM460 polarization maintaining fiber, it ensures stable polarization performance with an extinction ratio of ≥18 dB. The device also features low return loss (≥50 dB) and low polarization dependent loss, enabling reliable and repeatable attenuation.
The operating axis can be configured as slow axis (default), fast axis, or both axes, offering flexibility for different system requirements. With a compact inline design and support for up to 100 mW continuous optical power, it is suitable for both laboratory and industrial optical setups.
